Staff were wonderful and extremely helpful in helping getting my luggage forwarded onto another hotel. The room was fairly spacious for a solo traveller, and the amenities bar in the lobby was well stocked. Plenty wash and tumledryers too. Bed was a little hard for my tastes but still perfectly reasonable for sleeping. Location is about a 20minute walk from Morioka station but located centrally for many dining establishments and morioka sights

Our stay was comfortable and the location was close to the station. Please remember there are two Daiwa hotels in the same city, so you need to check the location clearly! EDIT: I had previously complained about additional charges over the booking amount. But that was due to my misunderstanding. Booking.com had charged only for people over 16 years, but the hotel considers 15 year olds as adults. I missed that information.

The hotel is 15-minute walk from Morioka Station, but I'm so glad I chose this hotel. From Morioka Station, you should go to the north exit. To get to the hotel, you will go over a bridge, across Kitakami river, and the scenery is just spectacular. The area is very central with a lot of restaurants and shops. The room size is good compared to other hotels in Japan. I love breakfast here too.

Clean room, a modern looking bathroom BS TV Price was really good for a nice clean room like we had. In the middle of the city so good access to restaurants etc. I liked their eco policy where you just collect the things amenities you want rather than having everything put in the room. It leads to less waste. They have microwaves on a couple of floors if you need to heat something up.

Yamaki

A lovely room with a very comfortable bed. The location if the hotel is ideal for seeing the major sights, and its proximity to the station. The manager went beyond his duty when we had a medical event and the ambulance needed to be called. All the staff had limited English, so his help was much appreciated.
